Ingredients

Scale

Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (56 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Boursin Cheese Topping

  • 1 round of Boursin cheese (5.2 oz), garlic & fine herbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (half of the total olive oil)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to get it ready for baking the salmon.
  2. Prepare the Baking Dish: Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper to prevent the salmon from sticking while baking.
  3. Make the Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, combine the Boursin cheese, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and half of the olive oil until smooth and well blended.
  4. Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the fillets and season them evenly with salt and black pepper.
  5. Assemble in the Baking Dish: Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the baking dish if they have skin. Spread the prepared Boursin cheese mixture evenly over the top of each fillet.
  6. Bake the Salmon: Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  7. Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately for a creamy, flavorful meal.

Notes

  • Ensure the salmon is fresh and of even thickness for consistent cooking.
  • You can substitute olive oil with melted butter for a richer flavor.
  • Adjust garlic quantity as per your taste preference.
  • Check the salmon at 15 minutes to avoid overcooking.
  • Garnish with lemon slices for added citrus freshness if desired.
