Ingredients

Scale

For the Spicy Chicken:

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups heavy cream (or half-and-half for lighter version)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the Ramen Bowl:

  • 2 packs ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ cup sliced green onions
  • ½ cup shredded carrots (optional, for crunch)
  • 1 soft-boiled egg, halved (for topping)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Nori strips (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Marinate & Cook the Spicy Chicken: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, smoked paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. Toss the sliced chicken in the marinade and let it sit for 10 minutes. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the chicken strips, and cook for 5-6 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth, then add salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Let it simmer while stirring for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and mix in the grated Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  3. Cook the Ramen Noodles: Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain the noodles and toss with sesame oil to prevent sticking. Set aside.
  4. Assemble the Ramen Bowls: Divide the cooked ramen noodles into serving bowls. Spoon the creamy garlic sauce generously over the noodles. Top with the spicy chicken strips, sliced green onions, shredded carrots, and halved soft-boiled egg. Garnish with sesame seeds and nori strips. Serve immediately for best flavor and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust the cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes to control the heat level of the dish.
  • Using fresh ramen noodles instead of dried packs will greatly enhance the texture and taste.
  • Soft-boiled egg adds richness, but you can omit for a lighter option.
  • For a lighter creamy sauce, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
  • To make the dish gluten-free, use gluten-free soy sauce and ramen noodles.
  • Make sure not to overcook the chicken strips to keep them tender.
