Brownie Batter
- 2 cups Medjool dates, pitted
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan to prevent sticking.
- Make Date Paste: In a food processor, blend the pitted Medjool dates until they form a smooth paste, which will provide natural sweetness and moisture to the brownies.
- Combine Ingredients: Add the almond flour, cocoa powder, melted coconut oil, vanilla extract, salt, and baking soda into the food processor with the date paste. Blend everything together until the mixture is smooth and well incorporated.
- Pour Batter: Transfer the batter into your prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly to ensure uniform baking.
- Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. Check doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares for best texture and ease of serving.
Notes
- Ensure Medjool dates are soft and fresh for easier blending.
- You can substitute almond flour with any nut flour if preferred.
- For a fudgier texture, reduce baking time slightly.
- Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
- Add chopped nuts or chocolate chips into the batter for added texture.
