Ingredients

Scale

KitKat Mixture

  • 340 g KitKats (crushed)
  • 153 g Sweetened Condensed Milk (1/2 cup)

Chocolate Coating

  • 315 g Milk or Dark Chocolate (1 and 3/4 cups)

Instructions

  1. Crush KitKats: Crush the KitKat bars into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl to prepare for combining.
  2. Mix with Condensed Milk: Pour the sweetened condensed milk into the bowl with crushed KitKats and mix thoroughly until the mixture becomes gooey and well combined.
  3. Form Truffles: Roll the gooey mixture into bite-sized balls and arrange them on a non-stick baking sheet placed on a baking tray.
  4. Freeze Balls: Place the tray with the truffle balls into the freezer for 30 minutes to firm up before coating.
  5. Melt Chocolate: Separately melt the milk or dark chocolate gently until smooth and ready for dipping.
  6. Coat Truffles: Dip each chilled truffle ball into the melted chocolate to fully coat it, then place back on the baking sheet.
  7. Chill to Set: Place the chocolate-coated truffles in the refrigerator until the chocolate has fully set and hardened.
  8. Store: Keep the truffles refrigerated and consume within two weeks for best freshness.

Notes

  • You can use either milk or dark chocolate depending on your preference for sweetness and flavor.
  • Ensure the KitKats are crushed finely enough to mix well but not too powdery to maintain texture.
  • Freezing the truffle balls before dipping helps maintain their shape and makes dipping easier.
  • Store the truffles in an airtight container to preserve freshness and prevent moisture absorption.
  • These truffles make great gifts and party treats due to their rich flavor and attractive appearance.
