Instructions

  1. Soften Rice Paper: Soak one rice paper sheet in warm water for 10–15 seconds until it becomes soft and pliable.
  2. Prepare Rolling Surface: Transfer the softened rice paper sheet to a damp surface such as a wooden board or a clean towel to prevent sticking.
  3. Add Filling: Place a small layer of cooked vermicelli noodles, shredded carrots, cabbage, and either tofu or shrimp in the center of the rice paper sheet.
  4. Roll the Rice Paper: Fold in the sides of the rice paper and tightly roll it up from the bottom like a burrito. Repeat the process for the remaining sheets.
  5. Prepare for Air Frying: Lightly brush or spray each rice paper roll with sesame oil or a neutral oil to enhance crispiness during air frying.
  6. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 2–3 minutes to ensure even cooking.
  7. Arrange Rolls: Place the rolls seam-side down in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to allow proper air circulation.
  8. Air Fry Rolls: Cook the rolls for 8–10 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides.
